ITAS Release 8.20.0
Overview
Release Date: 7th November 2023
This version of ITAS Services delivers a smaller number of new features and improvements than in previous releases, as the vast majority of development effort has been focused on migrating the ITAS Services codebase to .NET 8.
.NET is a universally used development platform created by Microsoft. It comprises several programming tools used by Hivedome to develop, build, deploy and run many of the applications and features found within ITAS Services. For example, .Net Framework forms a fundamental part of features such as Events and is crucial in the production of Alerts and Messages. Trader Desktop uses the WPF feature and ITAS Webservices (ITAS API) run on ASP.Net Core. This upgrade will enable Hivedome to confidently adopt the use of .NET 8 so that ITAS can benefit from its numerous features and enhancements while maintaining a stable and secure application environment.
It is unlikely that any .NET 8 developments will be released as part of 8.20, the current plan is to be able to roll-out migrated code as part of 8.21.0 which is due for release in February 2024.
New Features
Mexico/Diversa Adapter (Outbound)
The purpose of this new adapter is support electronic invoicing workflow activity for Mexico→Diversa.

Enhancements
Cash API V2
ITAS API Finance endpoints currently have dependency on ITASCash_API.dll (vb6) despite the underlying functionality being migrated to ITASBLL (C#).
Workflow Manager (P3)
This phase will enable Triggers based on emails being detected in nominated mailboxes. This will support the migration of activities currently being performed by the Docman Server Service.
We will also be looking at enhancing data query capability for condition-based Notifications (SuperAlerts). This will support the migration of WFv1 to Workflow Manager (WFM).

Workflow V1 Migration
Tidy up work started in 8.17 to allow further retirement of legacy services; Email Polling and Email Send. These currently have dependencies (Workflow 1.0 and ReportFactory) that need to be amended to publish to HER-OPS topic.
As part of the roll-out it is the intention to remove old (user) subscriptions to make the whole Notifications process more efficient. The result will be a single service for all current and potential providers.
