BANKRVU - Bank/Broker review of limits/usage

What is BANKRVU

This procedure will list all CLI accounts nominated as a broker/bank and will report their various trading limits and their current open use.  It is primarily reviewing banking positions for Loans. BANKRVU does not include any FX reporting, see BANKS.

It is a simple analysis and the help? explains how each of the usage columns is calculated, also see below for same description. The CLI (bank) account maintains its Loan and LC limit/lines with the loan limit viewed as a composite amount for Stock, receivable line applications. The CLI account is linked to the loans/current NOM account for the viewing of that balance as a comparison. The usage columns can be examined in detail. There is a selection option to view the loan usage by the different headings of Nominated, Stock, Receivables and Other where the current status of the TRADE financial/loan fields determines the positioning of the outstanding loan amount. The loan only 'disappears' from the report when the cash has been match marked on the receivable or the TRADE loan details are removed.

Pre-financing can be monitored with BANKRVU with the following processes. The operating company may wish to pre-finance a crop for a grower and will advance $ from their own bank account or by a guarantee arrangement with another Loans Organisation.  The CASH entry will be posted, with applicable EXPense code, to the supplier account with the other side either the Op. Company bank account or the trading accounting of the Loan co.  The Op. company will then negotiate each purchase linking the Loan agreement to the purchase contract(s). By the use of TRADE/Financial entries, that information can be maintained as nominated loans until execution/completion and BANKRVU will report use of the line/limit being used with the respective banks. Reportwriter layouts can be created to list the details of the advance. The accounting of the incoming invoice, with the offset of existing loans is handled manually. Interest calculations can be setup for automated recording, INTREP

Cash amount is derived from the account nominated in CLI for this trading bank account. Use the CLI/View/Bank Trade limits feature. The cash account is usually a Nominal ledger but it can be a client account to handle the situation where a trading partner is acting as a bank for the purpose of long term loans

Collateral value is what the bank believes is the worth of the 'asset'.  There is an option in TRADE to mark-to-market the Loan using the Futures Pricing subsystem, if this is not being used then the collateral worth is assumed to be the same as the loan amount.
The drill-down on any of the Loan usage summaries will view the TRADE records with the special feature of the Invoice Due date referencing the allocated data.
TRS usage column locates any LOANS maintained in TRS that are not matured and are traded with this bank/broker.  If the Op company is maintaining the TRADE details and TRS/Loans, the TRADE details will NOT be included in the usage /available totalling

Nominated loans are memorandum details where trade has been marked to be financed (in the future) by a specific bank. The nominated loan information will move to the used columns when the trade has been marked with the PI invoice reference i.e. the bank is assumed to have paid the supplier when the trade has been invoiced marked.
NOTE, a loan is not necessarily for the full amount of the goods
Loans queries column is used to review TRADE details that appear to be inconsistent with regards their loan complete status. A loan should be considered as redeemed/complete when the sales proceeds have been received by the operating company and the loan is 'repaid'. This section will list TRADE loans that have NOT been marked as complete but the sales proceeds have been cash matched
