ADMIN - Administrators Console

What is ADMINCONSOLE

ITAS Administrator console is a dashboard designed for IT support members to monitor critical ITAS system services and processes.

ITAS Services

Display’s the ITAS windows services.

The IT Support member running the dashboard must have the appropriate access rights to connect to the Service Control Manager of the server he/she wants to monitor. Once connection is established the operator will be able to stop/start services and view log files for the associated service. Enter the ITAS application server IP or server name  and click connect.

System

Displays company details on the current ITAS database, code name and description. The current ITAS working date is displayed; there is a right click mouse feature that allows the user to Roll the ITAS working Date, this is useful if overnight procedures have crashed and you are unable to re-run the DEP and require users to login to the ITAS system with the correct ITAS date.   IF it is required to roll ALL the companies date, including the ‘GF’ entity, the user will get an important supplementary roll feature after rolling ‘gf’ which is to roll the ITAS core control date. This is very important ELSE the next overnight Date Roll will revert to previous dates.

Other information shown is Test Co., PP status, MEP, SIC and Locked.

  • The Test Co is informational for the situation that on a Production server, there are companies setup that are nominated as Testing Only.
  • The PP Status indicates whether posting to the ledgers is active or not; mouse right-click enables user to stop/start RPP.
  • The MEP status indicates whether a MEPACT will be executed on the next operation of the DEP overnight.
  • The SIC status indicates that the previous overnight DEP found some data issues that should be investigated by the business.
  • Locked status is a mouse right click that enables the locking of a specific Company (ctrl02_locked) in order to block user access to the company while this lock is on... this is useful to block access whilst a company copy is being executed.

The company lock can also be applied in Navigator when copying a company, user is prompted to lock.

Status

Site information displays the batch command job used by the overnight procedure and current core ITAS working date. Documents Awaiting Posting displays any  documents waiting to be posted. If documents are waiting, the PP status for that company is probably inactive or there has been a PP failure. If the System status shows that the PP is active and there are Documents waiting to be posted, then contact the Hivedome support system.

Overnight Log

Displays the output from DEP’s (ITAS Day End Procedures) Any errors will be indicated with a RED highlight, this information will need to be passed onto Hivedome support to help diagnose events.

The Postings log lists all company Posting’s for that day. It is there purely to help indicate everything is operating successfully and the log file is deleted each night as part of the overnight process.  Individual RPP can view their company PP logs.

ITAS Mail Log

Shows logging information on past/current emailing events i.e. ITAS output emails passed to the SMTP server. There is no guarantee that the email has been delivered to the outside world because ITAS only passes the message/attachments to the SMTP.  Further tracking of delivery failures needs to be handled in Exchange, Lotus engines.

SPAN Logs
