GROUP - Group Numbers Maintenance

What is GROUP

The process will build new codes with unique identity off YY + NNNN where YY is current fiscal year and NNNN is system assigned next number e.g. 130001.
The use of these codes is to group TRADE records for the purpose of group update and enquiry.  This dataset can represent a charter situation where a number of buys and sales are linked and the WIP Charter feature is not suitable.
The simplest form of GROUP is a grid of numbers, Vessel names and a description.  There are different modes of a drill down to the supporting Detail:-
a)     The detail maintained is fairly extensive with items such as Load Port ETA, ETS, weight and number of containers fixed, LayCan calculations. Time sheets with DEM/DES calculations and TRADE update are also applied from the detail screen.
b)     A S01 feature (ctrl30_grpasfrtfix=Y) enables a close link to assignment of this charter information to TRADE records
c)     A S01 feature (ctrl30_grpasfrtfix=H) enables Detail to prompt more Chartering data and features e.g. Charter Nomination subsystem, Charter Finalisations, Laycan. This integrates closely with the STKMAN subsystem

What is GROUPSTK

This variation of GROUP will only process GROUP codes that have been setup with a Department code that is applying STKMAN inventory i.e. cmy102_instkman='Y' when S01 configuration ctrl50_proschedstyle='E'.
Note: An automated setup of Group Numbers can be activated from allocation processes using S01 configurations ctrl30_allocgrp & ctrl30_nextgroupno.
