GENENQ - Super Enquiry

What is GENENQ

This procedure is designed to  view summarised information of any of the 3 accounting ledgers and the Trading databases.
After viewing summaries you can drill-down into a large amount of detail, constructing your own detail report layouts.
The facility to view summary Open Position TRADE tonnage by user selective grids is very powerful, e.g. select row by product and column by contract terms and you can see the company Freight exposure i.e. net Fob, net CIF tones. The Sales turnover/gross margin summary is similarly viewed here with your own grid content so it is possible to see by product, by counter-party, by period, by dept etc. The Shipping Position grid is a produce style front sheet that has several powerful drilldown features.

There are options for producing Consolidated enquiries (TRADENet, TradeBook and Shipping Position) to include any number of companies that are maintained on the same ITAS server. The Options icon on the tool bar enables this feature with it’s tight security on access rights by the user.

The different modes of enquiry are listed here and are all controlled by CMP/Privilege access rights.

View Trade Net [TRADENET]

Summary positions with physicals/futures/Inventory segregation, producing a single representation of selected Stocks, Physicals, Futures and Options positions. The content is any 'open' status tonnages i.e. TRADEs that have not been closed. F&O positions will be located for any House account that remain on the TERM database with settled deals being optionally included. The presentation is fixed with ROWS reporting Priced tonnage, Un-priced tonnage, Futures, F&O Options reported with Delta'd and In-Out-Money valuations and Pricing-to-come. The Futures are sectioned with hedge/price-fixings recognised with their TERM code (TERMCODES/Tradecode), and the other section reporting the remaining trades which may represent arbitrage /spec trading. The COLUMNS represent the trading periods as maintained in TRADE with the physicals using either the ‘Valuation period’ or ‘Position Month’ (user selection from Options icon) to position the tonnage. If any contracts are priced with an absolute market price and VALUATION period has been selected, then they will be positioned in the 'spot' column. The F&O rows use their prompt month for column positioning and the Price-to-come uses the contract Fixation month. The rows within each section are further divided by physical commodity code, F&O market or F&O broker. There are a series of 'Options' available for tailoring the report content with one being to include settled F&O or not. The ‘Options’ allow include/exclude Inventory. When Inventory is included and Sales are allocated to Inventory and the Sale is Invoiced, then the Sales tonnage is excluded because the inventory is automatically excluded and any F&O hedges would be nett to zero. F&O trade records to be included must be assigned to CLI accounts that are nominated as ‘House’ type, this enables exclusion of 3rd party trading. Physicals trades are excluded by the relevant tick boxes e.g. 3rd Party/Consignment, Brokerage; these are viewed from the Option icon .

View Commodity Trade Net [TRADENET]

Summary positions with physicals/futures/Inventory segregation organised by principal Physical Commodity code. This allows, for example, a combined report of different Coffee or Sugar types with net totals. The content is any 'open' status tonnages i.e. TRADEs that have not been closed. F&O positions will be located for any House account that remain on the TERM database with settled deals being optionally included. The presentation is fixed with rows reporting Priced tonnage, Un-priced tonnage, Futures, Options reported with Delta'd and In-Out-Money valuations and Pricing-to-come. The Futures are sectioned with hedge/price-fixings recognised with their TERM code (TERMCODES/Tradecode), and the other section reporting the remaining trades which may represent arbitrage /spec trading. The columns represent the trading periods as maintained in TRADE with the physicals using the contract valuation period to position the tonnage. If any contracts are priced with an absolute market price they will be positioned in the 'spot' column. The F&O rows use their prompt month for column positioning and the Price-to-come uses the contract Fixing month.

After viewing the summary there are options to view the net tonnage per row by  Buy and tonnage.
