DAE - Client Settlement Entry

What is DAE

DAE is the futures/options settlement advice procedure when not using the automated process from TERM and SETT. This procedure could be used when a commission amount adjustment is needed. These are the terminal trading documents used to post settlement results (of futures or options). If the company is using a dual-entry settlement process, this document type should be used for the internal account side and broker settlement (SAE) documents should be used for the broker side.
The main details needed for describing the settlement (commodity, option type, settlement amount, settlement and fees account, suspense account, document date, value date, department, etc) are entered here. Upon complete entry, ITAS generates a unique document reference commencing with the letters DA to identify it as a client settlement document.
DA document types are recognised as providing financing characteristics, whereas the SA type documents are not treated as financing items (only in WIP ledger).
