CALCCODES - Calculations System

What is CALCCODES
These are a series of trading decision matrix. The codes and rates maintained are used in TRADE for the automated calculation of a current trade administration value. In the TRADE procedure as the goods are moved from location to location or are processed or have their status altered, the automated calculation subsystem activates to reflect the COST of that tonnage.

The CALCCODES tables are self-explanatory in that they represent the different commodities and the ports/countries involved in goods movement. Some of the RATES are not directly viewable/maintained in CALCCODES but relate to other tables in PHYSCODES e.g. Insurance groups.

The tables are: Trucking, Warehouse, Cartage, Freight, Port Discharge and Insurance.
The rules of how these rates are used are explained in TRADE (where they are used) i.e. the specialist ADMIN sub system
